Spun out of Enel Grids, Gridspertise sells the metering and grid-edge stack that Enel developed at scale: smart meters, grid sensors and edge computing plus the software to run resilience, hosting capacity and prosumer participation. It now operates as a group alongside Finnish metering firm Aidon and Dutch energy-data platform Energyworx, giving it cloud meter-data management as well as hardware. CVC Fund VIII bought 50% from Enel in 2022 in a deal valuing the business at around €625M.
