Landis+Gyr, headquartered in Cham, Switzerland and listed on SIX as LAND, has been in metering for more than 130 years and is one of the two dominant Western AMI vendors alongside Itron. Its stack runs from smart and prepayment electricity meters, C&I and grid meters, and gas and water meters, through RF-mesh and cellular communications networks, to head-end systems, meter data management and grid analytics software. The company has been sharpening its focus on the Americas and Asia-Pacific: in March 2026 it divested its EMEA business to AURELIUS for about $215 million. Peter Mainz became CEO in November 2024; trailing revenue is roughly $1.6 billion with about 6,300 employees.
