Developer of the Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron project in Nevada, the only known lithium-boron reserve in North America.

ioneer (ASX: INR, Nasdaq: IONR) is permitting and financing Rhyolite Ridge in Esmeralda County, Nevada, which would co-produce lithium carbonate and boric acid — a co-product structure intended to insulate the project from lithium price swings. The project closed a US$996M loan with the DOE's loan office in January 2025, and on 31 March 2026 the US District Court for the District of Nevada upheld the approved mine plan of operations. Sibanye-Stillwater withdrew from its planned ~US$490M joint venture investment, and ioneer is now targeting a final investment decision in the second half of 2026 with first production expected in 2029.
