Developer of US lithium brine projects in the Smackover Formation using direct lithium extraction, in a joint venture with Equinor.

Standard Lithium (NYSE American and TSXV: SLI) holds 55% of Smackover Lithium, a JV with Equinor (45%) developing the South West Arkansas Project in Columbia and Lafayette Counties, plus the Franklin Project in East Texas. It has run a DLE demonstration plant on Smackover brine in El Dorado, Arkansas since 2020. The South West Arkansas Project was awarded a $225M DOE grant, received a NEPA Finding of No Significant Impact in May 2026, and in May 2026 awarded its last major construction contract — an EPCC agreement with S&B Engineers and Constructors, supported by Hatch, for the central processing facility — ahead of a final investment decision, targeting first commercial lithium in 2029.
