Dragos was founded in 2016 by operators out of the US intelligence community and built its reputation on naming and tracking the threat groups that target electric utilities and pipelines, then packaging that intelligence into a detection platform tuned to control-system protocols rather than IT traffic. Its services arm runs incident response and architecture reviews, and the 2024 acquisition of Network Perception added the NP-View segmentation and access-path analysis used for NERC CIP evidence. The company raised a $200M Series D in October 2021 led by Koch Disruptive Technologies and BlackRock at a $1.7B valuation, added $74M in 2023, and was acquired by Accenture in June 2026.
