The product reads configuration files offline — no agents or active scanning on the control network — and renders the resulting topology, access paths and rule risks, which is how it satisfies CIP-005 and CIP-007 evidence requirements without touching production systems. The company says more than half of the 30 largest US utilities use it, and it also sells into oil & gas, transportation and manufacturing. Founded by Dr. Robin Berthier and a team out of the University of Illinois via the EnterpriseWorks incubator; Dragos acquired it in October 2024 and now sells NP-View alongside its OT threat detection platform.
