Hyperscale and gigascale campus operator with roughly 6.4 GW of operational and planned capacity, bought for about $40 billion by an AI Infrastructure Partnership consortium.

Aligned runs more than 50 campuses across the Americas, marketing Gigascale campuses alongside hyperscale build-to-scale, multi-tenant and federal products, and uses its Delta cooling technology to cut both water and power overhead. In October 2025 the AI Infrastructure Partnership — founded by BlackRock, Global Infrastructure Partners, MGX, Microsoft and NVIDIA — agreed to acquire 100% of the equity from Macquarie Asset Management at an enterprise value of roughly $40 billion, the largest data center transaction on record, with a further $5 billion of expansion capital. The acquisition completed in 2026.
