Global data center REIT whose 300-plus facilities make it one of the largest contracted buyers of electricity outside the hyperscalers.

Digital Realty operates roughly 309 data centers across more than 30 countries on its PlatformDIGITAL architecture, with approximately 3.0 GW of IT capacity in service as of 31 March 2026 and about 6.3 GW of buildable capacity under active or future development. Power procurement is core to the business rather than a sustainability footnote: the company contracted more than 1.5 GW of wind and solar PPAs between 2021 and 2024, reaching 100% renewable matching for its US colocation and European portfolios, and has since added firm baseload supply including a long-term PPA for roughly 500 GWh a year of hydropower from Current Hydro for its Northern Virginia sites. It serves more than 5,500 customers and trades on the NYSE as DLR.
