Publicly traded AI cloud provider that runs its business in units of contracted electrical capacity, roughly 4.2 GW of it.
CoreWeave ended Q2 2026 with more than 1.5 GW of active power across 51 data centers after adding nearly 500 MW in the quarter, and had raised contracted power to approximately 4.2 GW by August 2026. It guides 2026 capex of $35-39 billion and targets about 5 GW of additional capacity by 2030. Short-duration compute contracts are now quoted at roughly $40 million per megawatt annualized, making power the explicit pricing unit. Projects include a $6 billion campus in Lancaster, Pennsylvania starting at 100 MW of IT capacity with a path to 300 MW. Its $9 billion all-stock bid for Core Scientific was terminated in 2025 after Core Scientific shareholders voted it down. Listed on Nasdaq as CRWV.
