Headquartered at 200 Cummings Center in Beverly, Massachusetts, Highland takes on the capital, charging infrastructure, energy management and grant paperwork for school districts and municipal fleets, guaranteeing route-ready charged buses and reimbursing customers for downtime. It reports securing about $525M in grants and incentives for partners and operating or contracting more than 1,000 electric school buses, including 236 buses and four million miles at Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland plus deployments in Compton CA, South Burlington VT, Red Lake MN and Glades County FL, and it runs vehicle-to-grid programmes on those fleets. Total funding is around $453M, including up to $150M of equity from Aiga Capital Partners in December 2025 and a $75M preferred equity commitment from Galvanize; it was selected to supply 500 electric school buses for the LA28 Olympic Games.
